Michelle Smith (formerly Pennies) was born and raised in El Paso. After high school, she attended the University of North Texas in Denton where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice. She went on to attend law school in Miami, Florida before ultimately settling down in San Antonio, Texas and receiving her Doctor of Jurisprudence from St. Mary’s University School of Law.
Michelle’s family and Christian faith are what drive and motivate her every day. She is a member at Cielo Vista Church, has been an active board member for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes in El Paso for the last 5 years, and recently began serving as a board member for El Pasoans for Life, Fatherhood and Pregnancy Help Services. She is passionate about helping families through difficult times and never gets tired of watching lives transformed by God’s grace. She is madly in love with her husband, Chris, and their brand new baby boy.
Michelle joined the firm in 2010 and considers herself blessed to have such an amazing mentor in James Rey. She believes it is a pleasure and a privilege to work with staff that is loved and adored like family.
